My weekend was spectacular. Despite the reports of thunderstorms, we frolicked in the yard and did arts and crafts on the patio. In fact, I got to fit in a WOD on Saturday and we even took a nature walk at Jones Beach Sunday afternoon. Since 2011, the Long Island site of the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale has yielded over $1,000 in donations for the Catskill Animal Sanctuary. This May, our family of four took the now annual trip to Saugerties to hand deliver the donation to CAS Founder Kathy Stevens. Tucker the cow had been the topic of conversation for two weeks leading up to daytrip. Read more
After freshening up the flower beds in the front yard, we packed up the truck with the weeds and old bushes and headed to the dump. Our local landfill has actually been converted into a preserve- and as ironic as it sounds, it is one of the best places to go on a weekend for fresh air. Read more
In NY, spring is here. We’ve got random windy mornings, but the sun has been trying its best to warm us up. It awakens the project giant within.
We couldn’t help but have the conversation last week. It was thirsty Thursday, so a pinot noir in hand, we prioritized the things we wanted to accomplish, and what we could possibly get done, or at least started, this weekend. The priority?
